For those asking “what difference does it make” and similar comments, the difference is keeping a track or losing a track. The rule has been in place for long enough but has not been policed correctly.

All cars must have the exhaust outlets in accordance with the NASA rule book, any cars with exhausts outlets that point upwards will not be allowed to race.

This will be checked in the holding lanes as well as at scrutineering.
